How did the company get started?
Matt and Dr. Brandon, our Co-Founders, have been friends since college. Brandon went to Medical School at the University of Miami, while Matt went to their Business School. Fast forward about 15 years and their careers led them to initial discussions about creating a natural gut health supplement that had ingredients with the most clinical efficacy for calming your gut, but also a supplement that was recommended by Gastroenterologists so that people can trust their gut supplement. Matt and Dr. Brandon felt that the supplement space was crowded, yet there wasn’t a comprehensive, natural gut health product that was accepted by the medical community. They sought to change that, with a mission to create a better, more trusted gut health supplement for people in need of calming support. Sanctum was born. Why the name SanctumTM?
Trust us, it took many conversations to land on the right name, but when we thought of SanctumTM, we knew we had it. We wanted a name that represented approachability, but also efficacy. We wanted a name that people could feel good about adding to their wellness regimen, but also a name that presents well in our physician offices. We also wanted a strong brand identity that represented the positive impact gut health can have on our lifestyle, especially now that there is such a focus on the gut-brain connection. SanctumTM exists to spread gut wellness and happy tummies, promoting an overall balanced and happy lifestyle for peak performance and wellbeing.
Where is the company based?
Our company is founded in Delaware, but the corporate headquarters is in Miami, Florida. We also have a satellite office in New York. We began with Miami and New York as our two initial test markets on the East Coast before expanding nationwide.
How did the company launch?
Before even opening our online store, we spent many months speaking to as many Gastroenterologists (over 100!) to get their feedback and support. This took many lunch meetings and follow ups, but the overall feedback was overwhelmingly positive from the medical community. We then opened our online store on Scienceofsanctum.com, launched on Amazon, and began our social media journey.

We are proud to say we are created by Gastroenterologists (the Gut Experts), and recommended by many of them at their medical practice. This is what differentiates us from other gut supplements. Our goal is a supplement that is trusted by physicians and users alike.

SanctumTM was formulated with 15 ingredients that have medical studies that showcase ingredient efficacy for gut support, many of which are double-blind, placebo controlled (gold standard) studies.
